I firmly believe that no one (absolutely no one at all) is rotten to the core of his/her being. I believe there's a seed of compassion in everyone, and that no one truly wants to be evil. That's my motivation for forgiving others.
We are often critical of others and blind to our own faults. It's human nature to think ourselves correct in our beliefs. People split not because of differences, but lack of empathy.
I think it's time for us to open our ears and listen instead.
No one likes to admit to his/her wrongs, so I really admire those who are willing to acknowledge their mistakes. It's difficult to say a simple sorry, so much more to mean it.
Remember, the only thing harder than forgiving is confessing.
